National Laureado Pleasure  Gelding for Sale

We are pleased to offer this exceptional gelding for sale as our opportunities to show him are limited due to his outstanding record in Canada.  He has been a Champion of Champions Pleasure or Performance Gelding at every Canadian show and at the Northwest Regional Championship in Washington State, and Reserve Champion at the Gold Rush Classic in Denver, Colorado!

Born in 1994, Colorado is still in his prime.  His legs are absolutely clean, and he still looks like a young horse.  Lack of opportunity to show him here and upcoming youngsters have made our decision to put him on the sales list.

Colorado also has extensive trail experience. He is a very experienced performance horse, winning numerous High Point and Versatility Horse awards  but requires a confident rider to perform at his best.   He has multiple first place wins in versatility classes such as Reining, Performance to Music, Champagne, Sidesaddle, Western Pleasure, etc. Videotapes are available. He is very friendly with impeccable ground manners. He loads, trailers, bathes and clips easily and is easier to catch than get rid of! We’ll miss him tremendously when he goes, but we wish to concentrate on our upcoming youngsters, especially due to the limited classes in which he can be shown in Canada.  Colorado has a special place in our hearts -- he was the first foal born on our farm (see photo below), and we have watched him grow from the cutest baby to a terrific performance animal.  If you think you could provide him with a wonderful lifetime home, please contact us.

Colorado was the Peruvian Horse Association of Canada's Annual High Point Pleasure Gelding for 2000, 2003 & 2004!!

He was also the PHAC Reserve High Point Pleasure Gelding and Reserve High Point Performance Horse for 2005 & 2006.

2000 B.C. Regional High Point Junior was won by Tanner Rosia riding and handling Colorado

Born 1994, Colorado is an affectionate horse who thrives on attention. Although energetic under saddle, Colorado is very patient with handicapped riders when led.

Strong from birth.  The photo at left was taken when Colorado was only 24 hours old.  Check out the strong, correct pasterns and cooperative nature of this new babe.

Proven show horse for the Pleasure Gelding division, and good trail horse.

Has had some reining training, and is very obedient with plenty of brio.  First place in Open Reining at the 2003 Canadian Nationals, multiple winner in Performance to Music, Champagne, Sidesaddle, Western Pleasure and other versatility classes.

Wonderful performance/demonstration horse as he appreciates crowds and excitement, thinking they've all come specifically to see him!

Bright copper chestnut with full mane and tail.

Blaze and high, even rear socks. Beautiful head, and extraordinary body on 14.1 hh frame.

Raised as a solitary foal, he prefers people to horses, but is respectful to his handler.

Colorado’s rider won High Point Junior at the B.C. Regional Championship in 2000, then this team went on to be awarded Champion of Champions Pleasure Gelding in August at the Canadian National Championship (judged by Pepe Risso, Jr.).

Colorado was selected by the Texas Ladies Aside to perform at the Calgary Stampede Equidance 2000 competition. Colorado was a pivot horse in both performances, requiring great obedience, as the pivot horse is sometimes the inside horse and sometimes the outside horse during maneuvers and must slow down and speed up accordingly.   See photo below.

Smooth, locked in gait. Excellent timing.
