Great horses are created through bloodlines, conformation, gait and temperament.  “JJ” is the complete package.

In 2011 at the tender age of four, HdN Jalepeño (“JJ”) was shown at the Peruvian Horse Association of Canada’s National show.  Jocelyn rode him to earn  Canadian National Champion Pleasure Stallion and Alejandro Montalvo rode him to Reserve Champion Open Performance Horse.   In 2010, he won the Bozal Colts class at each show and was awarded Best Bozal horse of show by Dr. Ernesto Sandigo, who rode three bozal horses before making his decision .  In halter, he was awarded Canadian National Champion Junior Stallion in 2010.  Alejandro was the 2010 Canadian National High Point Trainer thanks to points earned by him and JJ in halter and bozal and JJ is still his favourite horse here on the farm.

Celestina Ranch took 2012 off from showing, and his winning ways continued in 2013 through 2105.  At the first double show of the season, he was awarded Champion Performance Stallion, Champion Pleasure Stallion and Reserve Champion Breeding Stallion by both of the judges – Sr. George Bendezu and Ms. Kelly Powers. At the 2013 Canadian Nationals,  he was awarded Reserve Champion Pleasure Stallion and Performance Horse.  In 2014, he was awarded PHCBC Reserve Champion Pleasure Stallion and PHCA Champion and Champion of Champions Pleasure Stallion, and  Canadian National Reserve Champion Pleasure Stallion, and Champion and Champion of Champions Performance Stallion.  In 2015, he was shown only at the Canadian National Championships where he was Awarded Champion Pleasure Stallion once again.

JJ is nicely proportioned  and strikingly handsome.  He is a co-operative horse, and eager to please his rider.  Several of his maternal half-siblings form part of Ringstead Ranch’s highly successfully show string. Click here for video.
