2007 chestnut gelding with flaxen mane and tail

HdN Niño Rey is as sweet as he is beautiful.  Niño was awarded Champion Pleasure Gelding at the 2014 Wild Rose Classic by the PHCBC judge (click for video).  He is a full brother to HdN Soy Limeño, 2009 U.S. National Reserve Champion breeding stallion. He is incredibly smooth and was awarded Best Gaited Pervian Horse of Show at the 2011 Alberta Celebration while still in bozal.  Niño is a small and gentle gelding who would be a superb gelding for a junior or lady rider.   His owner had the following to say when she purchased him:

Jocelyn, as you know I spent my summer on a journey looking for the “man of my dreams,” a short Peruvian gelding.  I was close to giving up when I was directed to you and Celestina Ranch.  I will admit I was doubtful when you said you had my horse there.  I made the trip not really expecting to find my dream horse.  To my great surprise he was all you said he was and then so much more.  He is absolutely the perfect match for me.  And just as you said on the phone, the icing on the cake is he’s so darn cute! Alex, your trainer, has done a wonderful job training with a gentle hand.  He is extremely patient and respectful of the buyer yet you do not feel like a customer, more like a friend.  Alex is also very good at explaining how the horse is trained and what his “cues” are.  All his excellent training makes the horse very simple and safe to ride.  It was very obvious that both you and Alex know your horse’s background, training, abilities and which horse is best suited for that person.  I am more than pleased with the knowledge and experience of Celestina Ranch.  All the horses are in very good condition and well taken care of.  As my husband said, all trainers and breeders need to come up to your exceptional standards.  Thank you both for all the care you gave in raising my boy, Niño Rey, to be the wonderful boy he is.  Should I ever be in the market to purchase again I will come directly to you and will recommend you to anyone looking to find a well-bred wonderfully trained Peruvian.  Many thanks for your help.

Your friend,
